Olympic Reflections
As the 21st Winter Olympic Games came to a close… I look back and reflect on the many moments that have defined the games:
- A tragic death that reminded us that we are all human competing for medals that will push some to become heroes.
- That money does not guarantee working stage props or winning medals
- When we “Believe” as a nation, winning gold on Canadian soil is only a matter of who and not when.
- All athletes compete because they love of their sport, but we have athletes that compete out of LOVE (Alexandre Bilodeau for his brother and Joannie Rochette for her mother).
- After many (too many) heart-stopping moments, we have proved that that hockey is OUR GAME!
- And in the end we have learned it’s not about how many medals we have, but how many more GOLD medals we have that makes Canada the best. =)
It’s a great time to be Canadian.
