Urban Adventure – Part 1
Today was my first Urban Photography Adventure. I drove out to Fraserview Hospital to see if I could take some pictures of the abandoned buildings on site. Well that site is huge. I was like driving for like 5 minutes on the complex before I found the building I wanted. Well the building was all fenced off except for the front door. Of course even the front door of the building was locked up tighter Fort Knox. I guess they don’t want people getting in and causing problems.
Well just before I was going to leave and come back with some friends, I decided to take some shots to show them what I want to take them too. As I got my two shots, security found their way towards me. The guy was super nice as he asked me what I was doing. So I told him I was just there to take some pictures. Then he told me that taking pictures of patients is a violation of patient’s privacy. Of course I told him that I was only here for the abandon buildings. So then he starts telling me how if I start taking pictures and posting them it would be a violation of copyright as the hospital and film companies have an agreement and blah blah blah…
He was nice enough to suggest that I go around United Blvd as there was some abandoned warehouses. Well to avoid troubles I told him I was leaving and he left to…
But driving around United Blvd lead to nothing I could see of interest or abandoned.
Today’s Adventure: FAIL!
PS Will post the pics I have later… my desktop fried the other day and my laptop can handle RAW’s =’(
